WiFi Hotspot Connection Issues

Recently i have been unable to connect to WiFi Hotspots. I can connect my home router & my WebOS mobile hotspot.

However I have not been able to connect to O2 WiFi in Costa coffee & McDonalds. The WiFi attempts to connect, the login window pops up, but then fails to load the page & usually reports that the server timed out.

I have tried the following to no avail:-

Forget Network
Re-boot iPod
Reset Network Settings

None of these have worked, Does anybody have any ideas?

Same here. Connects OK at home and at guest wifi's in various stores. Has hard time logging on to wifi hotspot from my Blackberry 9930. My Playbook and laptop connect with no problem. 5g touch requires 5 or 6 attempts. very strange.

I have had this issue a few times. In general, I forget the network, wait a few minutes and try to connect again. I try not to get impatient as sometimes it takes a bit for the web authorization page to come up.

The authorisation page comes up no problem. However it just times out with a 'Server timed out' error etc.

I am patient, but it just does not let me connect. It used to fine, but not now. I have tried forget network, re-boot & reset network settings, but no joy.

An Ipod Touch without WiFi connecticity whilst out is not good.
