    Default Gaming on ipod?

How are you guys finding gaming on the ipod touch 4th gen. Is their a big difference with gaming on iPhone 4s, bearing in mind the new iPhone processor.

The reason am asking is that my son, has been enjoyed, on the 500 pound plus new 4s, and wanted to buy him an ipod as its cheaper as he doesn't have to call. However wandering on the quality and feel of games, cause the games look amazing on 4s so would really appreciate your assistance so I can get him one

I haven't had a chance to try a 4s yet, but I can say there's been no problems gaming on my touch 4. It's got an A4 chip in it, same as the iPhone 4 and 1st iPad.

The iTouch 4 runs games very well. Im sure your son would be pleased with its performance. The 3rd gen iTouch doesn't have the retina display, so he might be disappointed with the graphics if he's been playing with an iPhone 4 or 4s.

I'll have iPod4 gen, and iPhone 4 too (development purposes) if you interested in device wich will be used as a "game console" I think iPad is a better choice (not sure about 3 gne) but 4 is smaller, more comfortable to hold (thinner) and all games work in the same way. Difference is you can call, and this device has really crappy camera (>1Mpix)

As of right now I think the only game your son would miss out on with an iPod Touch would be GTA:III (Grand Theft Auto) which is coming out next in a few days. Other than that I have not seen any iPhone 4S only games. Also remember it looks like Apple is sticking with the 4th gen iPod Touch this entire year so it should continue to get heavy support from developers.
