How do i get on imessages on my iPod?

When i click on get started it already has my email, all i have to do is pit in my password. But when i do and click sign in if i let it sit for a few secoends it goes back to the sign in page, even if i click next it still goes to the sign on page after a few secoends. I have tried making new emails but it keeps doing rhe same thing every time. Can you help me plz?

Your imessage sign in is not your email and password it is your Apple ID email and password I had the same problem a few months back
