my jailbroken ipod touch 6th gen stuck on apple logo after factory reset

i had a jailbroken ipod, but found out jailbreaking was illegal and would lose my warranty. In an attempt to unjailbreak and loose cydia I stupidly went for a factory reset on my devise. the device is now stuck on the apple logo when I switch it on it begins to load something and then stop it is running ios 9. ive tried waiting for battery to run out but didn't work. yesterday I tried restoring but the process begun and nothing really happened.
