White screen?

OK, so my sisters iPod Touch 3G has a screen issue.
Whenever I power it on, it's fine (it's running 4.2.1, originally ran 3.1.3). But I turn the screen off and then turn it on again, all the pixels are white.
I can still interact with it (turn it off etc.) but with a white screen completely.
I've tried restoring but that doesn't do anything.
I think it may be hardware failure because she didn't use it for 4 months because I got a 4G Touch.
Any questions?
(I've got a Genius Bar appointment at 12:10 PM GMT time tomorrow so hurry up! )

Do you live somewhere exposed to humidity ?

It's probably a connector failure.

I live in the northwest of the UK, so there is hardly ever humidity.

Your Lcd is shorted out, try iRepairFast.com to get it repaired. Great prices and Fast..

Apple can replace the parts that are broken in the iPod touch if you still have warranty. Or get a new one.
