Yahoo carddav and SSL error?

I am trying to pull in my yahoo email contacts on my iPod touch 2G but I am getting an SSL error. I am entering the server: carddav.address.yahoo.com, username and password. It won't let me proceed using SSL and suggests proceeding without it upon which the ipod just hangs. Setting up yahoo email works just fine but not contacts.

In case it matters, I have a NETGEAR wireless router that the iPod is connecting to and I thought maybe a port (443) might not be open to allow access but I haven't gone down that road yet.

Any thoughts would be appreciated
