Slow Wifi on IPod Touch - Solved

I'm not sure if this has been previously posted (I did a search), but I was having slow and frequent disconnects on certain Wifi routers. When I'd run SpeedTest.net on my Ipod touch I'd get extremely slow speeds (while it would be fast on my laptop)

I finally figured out that turning the router to just 802.11G mode (turned off N) fixed it and makes my Ipod work so much better. I know that kinda defeats the purpose of having a Wireless N router, but at least it works now

Lol, what's your generation? Only the 4th has N capabilities that I know of

4th gen, OS 4.2.1. I have the latest firmware on my router too. Why the "lol"?, I thought I would help others out that are having the same problem. But I guess that's not what this forum is for!

Thanks for the info. Eventually I'll move from my 3rd g to the 5th g, and the info might become relevant.
