    Default Difference between variants

    Hi!

What's the difference between the SIM-free and Verizon variant, other than being both factory unlocked?

    Thanks!

Although Verizon iPhones are unlocked, you still can't use it on Sprint's network, if I'm not mistaken. With Apple's SIM-FREE iPhone 7/7 Plus models, you can use them on ANY network, whether GSM or CDMA. At least that's my understanding.

Ok, I see. You meant Apple SIM free. I was thinking all Verizon.

You can't? Why not? If you purchased outright, I'd think that you could is it on sprint as well.

As stated in my earlier post, I could be mistaken. I was always under the impression that Unlocked Verizon iPhones worked only with GSM carriers, whether domestic or international, but could not work on Sprint's network without needing a firmware update of some sort. Things may be different now.

See this page at apple's website - http://www.apple.com/iphone-7/specs/

Verizon, Sprint, Apple sim-free: can be used on both CDMA and GSM networks (models A1660 and A1661)

T-Mobile and ATT: can be used GSM networks only (models 1778 and 1784)
