Why so many iPhone tear down and break tests? Who pays?

Where do these people get all these brand new phones like iPhone 6s and then proceed to break or tear down or pour acid on the phones? I can barely afford 1 new phone and these guys open the box and bash the phone to prices. Why? And who pays for those phones?

Great questions, but I can only speculate in regard to the answers. The ones who dissemble the iPhones to show the innards are fine, in my opinion, but I despise the drop tests, and others that purposely damages the device. I think it's disrespectful to a certain degree but I also respect the fact that they have the right to destroy their own devices if they choose to.

By making those videos they earn money from video monetising. They can earn up to ?10000 per video. The viewers indirectly paid for the thrashed devices.
