Like I said, the only thing that annoys me is that I am so used to getting into an app straight from the lock up screen (by sliding the notification to the right), and with Touch ID I gotta do that and then put my finger on the sensor and wait for it to unlock the phone. I'm not using it yet, instead I put a passcode for every 15 minutes.

The only thing that would worry me about that is forgetting my phone somewhere and somebody grabbing it before requiring a passcode again. Then again, you're not Miss Daredevil for nothing!

That's what worries me too, which is why I'm still debating whether I should just force myself to use Touch ID until I get used to it.

I would. Once you're used to it it'll make unlocking your phone seamless.

I use it for unlocking, app purchases, Apple Pay and so on, and I think it is terrific!

It enables me to have a 12 character alpha-numeric-symbolic pass code to confound intruders, and not have to type it in often.

I'm of the minority that doesn't use it. Does it work to unlock the phone without pushing any buttons first? I swear it seemed my phone unlocked itself once and I don't know how but I'd like it to do that again . I like quick access to apps by sliding to the right like a "Daredevil"

I love the touch ID function, but I still haven't used it. Do you guys use it for phone unlock or not?
Always And any app that allows touch ID to access vs using a PIN.

Do you not use a passcode at all?

Yes I use it, many times a day, every day. It's simply the best feature Apple have come up with in years, a massive time saver and encouragement to keep your devices secure. Touch ID was the single biggest reason for me updating my old iPhone and iPad to iPhone 6 and iPad Air 2 - so I had Touch ID on both devices. I knew once I had it on one device it would be intolerable to not have it on both, and I was right.

The other thing I love is how you can now use Touch ID on the iPhone to unlock the Apple Watch too. Bloody brilliant.

I use it for unlocking the phone and secure apps like passwords or banking. You can still do the app shortcut from the lockscreen too! Just slide it to the right like before then touch id and you're there!!

I can't live without it......I use it for everything, especially with lastpass password management! But it's so fast on the 6S I cant use it to get the time, I have to use the wake/sleep button. It's too good!!!

For as small as the SE is, sliding the notification and immediately putting a thumb on Touch ID doesn't sound like a huge burden. On a Plus, yeah. But the SE is so easy to maneuver with one hand that it makes things like that super quick.

I use it all the time on my iPhone 6 and my Mini 4. I also have the original iPad Air which doesn't have the touch ID feature. It's probably about 1 extra second to punch in my security code to unlock the iPad, but that's a long second.

I use it for phone unlock and opening secure apps and apple pay. It's great and I would miss it if I didn't have it.
I love the touch ID function too for the same reasons - the iPhone 6S is my first iPhone and the 3D touch and touch ID are amazing.

I use it all the time and it annoys me when older devices we have don't have it...

I ended up setting up forefinger and thumbs from both hands fo each device.

I use it all the time, for unlocking, Apple Pay and apps (especially 1Password). When I go back to my iPad Air with no TouchID, it feels really clunky and slow to have to enter the passcode to open it and to use apps like 1Password.

Count me as a fan of TouchID, big time. Works great on both 5S and 6S phones.

Also there are times when the iPhone, for security reasons, has you re-enter the passcode manually. This is not a TouchID failure. It's a feature!
