Messenger alternative.

Hi! I see Messenger app very drain my battery, then I want change app, but every of my friends use It. Can you recommend me any Messenger app alternative? I used Trillian (or something like this) but there I can't talk on groups. Thanks for help and sorry for my bad language

Your language is ok, no need to apologize for it.
As for an alternative, I'm not familiar with any.
Make sure to disable the location services for Messenger or set it to 'While Using The App'. This will reduce your battery usage by that app.

Apple has done a pretty good job ensuring I only communicate via iMessage.

In all seriousness, I know it's an issue in areas of the world where data is more expensive than it is in the US. WhatsApp seems to be the go-to in those places.

Im my friends group, nobody have iPhone, beacause in my country it's very expensive and I cant use iMessage. They only use Messenger but it very drain battery, and I want app what can operate Messenger chats, not other service. About disabling working in background, it isn't working.
