Facebook Messenger Slow to Open

Was fine on 9.3.5 but started to lag to open from Home Screen when installed Beta for iOS 10. Not fully up to date with 10.0.1 and it really takes a unusual amount of time to open. I've tried it all. Everything works. Notifications come through and it does open, but it's really slow. Anybody else notice this? Solution?

Conspiracy...they want everyone using iMessage all the time!!!! Can't lie, if I message showed me when people where "available" like FB and BBM I would use iMessage exclusively.
