Until the official app allows choice of text, avatar size, text size, and allows in line viewing from all third party photo services, I will continue to use Tweetbot and Twitterific.

You can adjust the text size:
>Me >Gear Icon>Settings >Display and Sounds

I, too, initially thought it was a tad too dark for my liking until I turned off Nightshift mode. Now it's just right, in my opinion.

I initially used the dark theme on the native TweetDeck app on my MacBook Air. Didn't like it there either & that was before Nightshift was around.
And now I'm accessing TweetDeck on my iPad Air & iPhone through Safari.
So not using the straight Twitter app much.

Love the dark theme due to the fact that it looks more "techy" something you'd see in the movies. I have a weird liking with those types of things.

I switched it to night mode as soon as it was available. The white was burning my eyes just trying to read everything lol.

Love the new look. I always use native Twitter App, other apps don't do it for me.... Example, viewing media, etc.
