Teen smart phone monitoring

Any advice on a good free or inexpensive IPhone monitoring app? I have an I phone I lend to my teen to use and want to track anything that I can that is done on it.

Any guidance will be appreciated (Well short of don't do it, its my phone, my kid, my choice)

Welcome to iMore! Without jailbreaking, there isn't much that you can do outside of placing restrictions on the device in Settings > General > Restrictions and demanding that your son/daughter hand the device over to you whenever you want to see it. Unfortunately this is just part of the age in which we live. I think open communication with your son/daughter and setting the expectation that you can and will monitor that device is probably the best approach.

I also recommend using Family Sharing. You can set it up so that all purchases and app downloads have to first be approved by you. Follow the link for more info on that.
