Lock user downloaded apps

How to lock user downloaded apps like whastapp with a passcode without jailbreak?
P.S.- I went through restrictions but there is no option for locking apps that are downloaded by the user.

As far as I know, you can't. You can, however, prevent the App Store from being visible.

If you want to lock WhatsApp, just lock the phone. If someone wants to use your phone, use Guided Access in Accessibility to lock them to a specific app.
