iOS Outlook Calendar Events Disappear

Hello,
I'm trying out the new Outlook calendar & it looks nice. One problem I have, on my Google calendar account, items that I create on the phone disappear from Outlook shortly after it was listed. It appears to stay on the account if you go online via the browser. If it's an event I created on the browser, it appears to stay on my calendar on Outlook. Anyone experience this? Is there an answer to why?
