iOS Apps: Chrome vs. Google (why choose one over the other)?

I

iMore Question

Google is a search engine. In fact, it's my default search engine on my iPhone 5, running on the Safari web browser. But it's also available as an app from the App Store.

Chrome is a web browser. It is also available as an app from the App Store.

Since I only use a web browser (currently Safari) on my iPhone for searching, and Google is my preferred search engine, should I

(a) download the Google app for iPhone, or
(b) download the Chrome app for iPhone, and run Google on that app?

WHY?

Honestly, the google site on either safari or chrome will serve you well. To me, the only reason to download the standalone google app is if you're a google now user and want access to your google now cards on iOS. That can be pretty cool to access those. If you're not, I don't think you're really missing anything by continuing to access google within safari.

Just my $0.02 though :D
