Yeah, this is a known feature. Lets you know the total number of unread messages of all apps within the folder ;-)

Perhaps this is why it never updated even with the previous version several months ago.
Is this something you're working so that we no longer have to have it in the app switcher for the badge to update?
I assume it's a minimal drain on the battery.
    TIA
This has always been like this.

This is actually not really an 'app switcher'. It is a list of recently-used apps. The presence of an app in this list does not indicate that the app is still running, and removing apps from this list has no effect on performance/memory. The only thing removing an app does from this list that is beneficial is it kills the app if it was still running and it kills all its background processes.

It is best to use the app switcher only for apps that are 'stuck' or somehow misbehaving. This will 'reset' them.

Regardless, I will use BeWeather which ever way I need to for it to work
    .
    Good Luck
Like I said, it is a recent apps list, not an app switcher.

BeWeather doesn't have to show in this list either for its background processes to run and the badge to update.

The problem is after you launch the app it will appear in this list. And if you then swipe it away it will kill that background process.

    Bad design by Apple...

    Tks for the reply plugger,
Just for the record, now that I'm leaving the app in the app switcher, the badge icon is updating.
    Good Luck

Ah, well. I have already tried to get in touch with an editor at iMore for a review. Maybe one of the mods can help?

I was also a tester and so glad to see this one in the app store. I've got 9 other weather apps, but this one resides on my home screen and in notification center widgets.

Thank you, hopefully you guys will be able to pinpoint the issue.

Otherwise, it is a great app....I love using it !!

I launch and leave the app in the list and I don't Swype it away but the temp does not update until I click on it and bring it up. Maybe I'll delete the app and reinstall it and see what goes then..

It's odd that some of us have no issues with the temp badge. I don't. One would think it would be the same for everyone. Have you tried switching to a different personal weather station or the airport? The temp on my badge is for whichever I have set for current location. If I change my current location, the temp on the badge changes as well, unless the locations are the same. There may be 2 difference in 2 if my personal weather stations.

Having the same issue -- is it a time thing where it only pulls updates periodically? My badge said 42 and when I opened it jumped to 52.

Looking good! I think I need to make myself a custom set with a Belgian Malinois, one that plays in the rain and enjoys sun bathing LOL

You don't have to create the moon images. The iOS version doesn't use them.

I don't understand. No moons at all? Or not all the phases. What icons are used? Is there a list?

Only the m0 to m30 icons are not used. They indicate the current moon phase. The iOS version uses a built-in icon.
