What do you recommend as a comprehensive poi app?

I was surprised that Apple Maps does not include this feature. Unless I'm missing something.

If you're looking to do custom POIs to the extent you can with say a Garmin Nuvi... There's only one app I've heard allows for some custom POIs... and that's CoPilot... other apps just don't have any ability outside of bookmarks/favorites.... and rely on their own POI database and/or Internet search results.

I'll look at that, thanks. I'm just looking for a way to locate hotels and restaurants when traveling. Nothing too detailed is needed.

The built-in POIs of the typical app should suffice... or a web search...

AroundMe and iExit worked GREAT when I did some traveling last weekend!

Highly recommend both.

Poynt is another great POI app. Give it a look.

Poynt used to be my go-to app, especially during my Blackberry & Android days, but I haven't used it in years. The native maps app and a web search is all I need now.

I was the same way. I used Poynt all the time during my BlackBerry days. Now the native maps app is all I need.
