Navigation app with speed alert

Is there a navigation app that will beep/alert a driver when they are driving past the speed limit?

I found some that beep over a pre-set speed but not the actual posted speed limit on the road. Pre-set speeds are no good cause speed limits change along a roadway.

I'd prefer an app with downloadable maps so I can use it off-line and not eat up my data limit. But I'll take what I can get.

Thanks.

Thanks guys.

I want to put it on my husband's ipad and my iphone. Does this mean I have to buy the app twice? He uses his own email address for his itunes account.

Just wondering if there's a way to avoid double payment since the app is so expensive (though sounds like it does just what we need).

Is there a less expensive app that does the same speed assistance thing off-line and is close to the same quality? If not I'll get the navigon but looks like a lot of people are complaining about how they charge $20 for map updates now so think that apps really going to cost me some money.

If you're using a common AppleID for AppStore purchases, you pay once and use on all your iDevices...

The reviews in the AppStore regarding the map updates are really misleading... the deal is you can buy a 'FreshMaps' in-app purchase that gives you updates to the maps up to 4 times a year... it's a fair deal in my opinion.

Sounds like if you were out looking for a Navigation app and with this feature the OP asked about, This is the way to go. I just would not personally have the need for all of this and Apple maps for navigation and mapquest does me fine. Speeding, Well I have a standalone top of the line Escort for that.

I think the $50 app is cheaper than a stand alone device for me.

But it does suck to have to pay that much for an app when so many are free. Still, I have a lead foot and one traffic ticket alone more than pays for the app (and I got 3 tickets last year).
