    Default Ios maps or waze.

Hello all I was wondering what would be best to use for GPS ios maps or waze. I am interested in hearing your opinions. And if there is something else you prefer feel free to share.
    Thank you.

I've used both, and I like both. Waze is great for travelling because of the real-time alerts, speed traps, accidents, etcetera, but it can be a bit bothersome sometimes with all of the popups alerting you to nearby waze users, but many settings can be disabled. As of late, however, I've only been using the default Apple Maps because it is serving me well and I especially like the improved look and performance of the one thats comes with iOS 7. Just give both a try and decide which, if not both, are suitable for you.

Google now owns Waze... and will likely be just one more way they can deliver advertising and mine data...

I've found iOS Maps to be just as adequate for my use as my Garmin Nuvi765t.

I like WaZe for the red light cameras and traffic info.

Waze all the way. Apple maps is pretty, but its database is absolutely terrible. Waze uses Google's POI database, so you'll be able to actually find what you're looking for.

For example, I was searching for a dry cleaner near my house. Apple Maps said the closest one was 11 miles away. Google found one a 1/2 mile from my neighborhood.

In my area (land of the lost and forgotten), I've found Apple Maps to be as good as TomTom, which I've recently removed from my iPhone.

I don't use my maps program to find the closest anything, I just use it to take me there once it''s been identified. I love being somewhere unfamiliar and being able to tell Siri "take me home."

maybe I'm in a weird minority... but I don't need to search for anything near my house... I know where everything is that I frequently use...

Even so, what about when you're on vacation or out of town? I find the database to be totally unreliable. I search for something and get a result miles away, versus right down the street on Google.

Here's a good one. There are 6 McDonald's near my work. Guess how many show up in Apple Maps? If you said 4, you'd be right. Apple really needs to do something about the database. Partnering with Someone would be a huge help. I know y'all hate Google, but we need something better.

I've not experienced issues with Apple maps that I've not experienced on any other platform I've used before... I've had location inaccuracies with Google maps... Mapquest... TomTom... Garmin... the things you seem to want to blame Apple for are inherent to mapping in general and in my experience, Apple Maps is no worse than any other. And I know where stuff is near my workplace too.
