    Default Facebook contact sync

The Facebook sync with contacts feature is putting all my Facebook contacts into my phone. I don't want all of them in my contact list. When I try to delete the ones I don't want it wont let me. Any suggestions?

After having a Driod I knew when I saw this was apart of iOS 6 that I wouldnt be doing it.

I did find this article that kind of broke down the integration:

It looks like you just have to turn the contacts feature off.

If you turn it off you can use a free app called smart sync that lets you choose the friends you want to sync into your phone. It's a really good app I've had it for over a year. It used to be a paid app, but now is free.
I answer everything to the best of my knowledge. If I'm wrong, correct me.

Coming from Android also I knew this would happen.
I use a app for iOS called MyPhone+. This app will match your iphone contacts with your facebook contacts with pics and other info that contact has on FB it will not add just match. It checks for conflicts that you can deny or confirm. For example if you have Bill Smith in your phone and on FB it's Billy Smith it ask if this a correct match. Whenever your FB friends changes their profile pic you'll get a notification to re sync.

They actually just released an update and they changed the name. Its Sync.ME. I love it. Adds your friends bdays into your calendar which helps a lot!

When you are in contacts, hit groups on top and deselect Facebook. Your regular contacts that are synced with Facebook will still show all their fb info. But at least your misc fb friends won't show up in contacts.
