App Store asks for password everytime!

When I get on App Store (IOS 6 iPhone 4S) and try to download an app it asks for my apple I'd password I thought on iOS 6 you do not have to put it in everytime
(Same with my iPod touch 4g)

iOS 6 Choices in the settings are 15 minutes and immediately, if I remember right.

This has been going on for sometime now. Even in iTunes when I have APP updates and click on the first one the box comes up for me to sign in. And the big deal about this is what??

I had my setting at 15 minutes and then changed it to immediate and that is when updates asked me for password every time. Put it back to 15 min and now only asks for new apps. Not updates.

Im having the same problem! but i did that and still asking password
