Messenger/Chat app without speech-bubble interface?

I'm not a fan of the damn speech bubbles. Is there any chat app that doesn't have them, besides IM+ (I'm sorry, but in my opinion IM+ is pretty ugly). Money shouldn't be a problem, but it has to support push, Gtalk & Yahoo, at the very least.

I'd absolutely love it, if it had an IRC-ish look to it, like say MangoIRC (kind of old-school).

I've looked all over but haven't been able to find something satisfactory. Does such an app exist?

If you're jailbroken there are some themes for regular iMessage but I'm not sure if that's what you're looking for.

Yes, I'm jailbroken and I'd make do with theming iMessage, however is there anything like that for Gtalk and Y! Messenger? Since I use those more often. Thanks.
