tweetbot 140 char limit?

I have tweetbot 2.0 installed and when I retweet something that goes over 140 characters it gives me the option to edit or save but it doesn't seem to let me post more than 140 characters.....there does not seem to be a "tweetlonger" option. Is there such a thing available for tweetbot? I love the program but hated this limitation.

No it's it's not coming. Tweetbot said they will stick to the 140 limit. That's what twitter wants.

I don't exceed 140 very often but when I need to, I keep a backup app installed for just that reason.

If you want more than 140 characters, just use Google+ instead.

Seems to me that allowing over 140 characters would defeat the purpose of twitter.

Exactly why Tweetbot doesn't allow it. I once see them say if you need more than 140, go post on FB.

Just send multiple tweets. Me personally, I never bother to click on any Twitlonger links...keep it simple

it's not that I want to send a tweet longer than 140 characters, but when I re-tweet often times it is longer than 140 char... but I cant send it.. humph... sending a RT in multiple tweets kinda defeats the whole RT thing anywayz..

I suppose I could go back to my standby Tweetings and RT something, but I really dig the interface/UI of Tweetbot.

The 140 chars limit gets in the way of twitter becoming really competitive with Facebook, if you ask me.
