iThoughts vs. SimpleMind+ (Mind Map)

So I am new to the whole "mind mapping" thing and it appears to be an "eastern" thing, because all the videos/reviews I've read are from London or China.

Moreover, does anyone on TiPB use iThoughts or SimpleMind+? If so, why do you use that one?

I am really hooked on this and thoroughly enjoy it and I think there are some benefits to purchasing the full version for either; I just wanted to benchmark with you!

Therefore, can someone tell me why they have what they have?

How about MindNode?

I would like to suggest a third option: MindNode.

MindNode is my preferred mind mapping app, mainly because of its simplicity, its (relative) platform independence (iPhone, iPad, Mac) and the fact that I can have multiple mind maps on a single canvas.
