Hey guys! Jo sent us an email looking for a password protected cross-platform messaging app.

I'm searching for a cross-platform Instant Messaging app that can employ a passcode. I need to be able to communicate with a Blackberry user. And, I'd like to be able to passcode lock just that IM app, without passcode protecting my full phone.

Any ideas? By the way, I know about Kakao, but it's only in beta for Blackberry. Do you have any other ideas?

Any suggestions for Jo? Thanks!

What about a traditional instant messaging app (Windows Live, Yahoo, GTalk, etc.) and just log out when you finish using it so that you have to enter your password to use it each time?

idk about locking the app, you can do that if your phone is jailbroken, but Kik is by far the most amazing cross platform messenger ive ever used
