Instant Messaging App with Passcode Protection

Can anyone recommend an instant messaging app that has the ability to passcode protect the content on that app? I understand that I could lock my full phone with a passcode, but what I'm seeking is something that will allow me to just lock the IM chat. Also, I need it to work accross platform from iPhone to Blackberry.

For information, I've heard of Kakao. It has the passcode function, but it's only in beta for Blackberry.
