app updates today

Anyone else getting a ton of app updates today? I have had well over 30 updates today. Maybe people getting them iOS 5 ready?

I don't believe that Apple has started approving iOS 5 updates yet...

You cannot use the new API calls yet, but developers can and should be testing with iOS 5 and correcting any issues that crop up. As long as your update does not include any of the new API calls, Apple will not have a problem with it.

We have updated several in the past month.

I had a app yesterday that had a upgrade and it said it was now ios5 compatable.

Had a bunch more updates today. News360 said it was now iOS 5 compatible.

Apple is still turning down updates that state they are iOS 5 compatible. So many more apps have been updated to be iOS 5 compatible, but just can't state that they are.

Apple is not rejecting apps that say they are iOS 5 compatibility, they are not yet accepting apps that use the new iOS 5 API calls.

There is a difference.

As of beta 6 they were flat out refusing apps saying iOS 5 compatible. I know this for a fact, cause that's the only verbage changed on my app when Apple accepted it. I have not resubmitted at beta 7, so this may be Apple's break point for accepting that wording. My app does not use iOS 5 API calls.

We submitted with iOS 5 Compatible in the update description at beta 6 and they accepted three... Two more at beta 7. Three more submitted this week and waiting.

Evidently we had different reviewers. I wish they all had the same rule book.

We have actually accidentally sent rejected Apps back with no changes and had them accepted, so I completely understand your frustration...
