Words with Friends question

When I get a notification for WWF, clicking it takes me to the app, but only to whatever screen I was on last?not necessarily the same game I got a notification for. So often I need to go back a screen to pick the right game.

Is this normal behavior for WWF? I only just started playing it.

It's standard as far as I know this is what it does for me as well I talked with some friends and they said the same thing
