No reason they wouldn't if it meets qualifications. After all, they have every other Google app in iTunes, including - finally - Google Voice.

Google + doesn't compete with anything Apple owns.

Four month old thread....Google has just released Gmail for iPhone, so I'd say the worry is unfounded.
