Docstogo - All Local Files Gone - Please Help!!!!

I have been using docstogo on my iPad to take notes at work. After syncing with itunes (v.10.2.1(1)) last night, all of my docstogo files saved under the "local" tab disappeared and were replaced by the generic "ACME" files that came with the docstogo software. I lost approximately 12 .doc files. Because I had just synced with itunes, these files are now gone from my itunes backup as well.

Is there any way to recover these files???? I have back-ups, but they are a couple of weeks old so I'd really like to get the latest versions back. I emailed dataviz support, but they haven't responded yet.
