City of Boston, MA wants to pay you $25,000 if you're an app developer
Just saw on the local news (WBZ channel 4 in Boston) that the city of Boston is trying to use smartphones sensors to get real time information on what the city street have for potholes. According to the report, there is an experimental app that can be downloaded to a smartphone, from there is collects data on road condition from the accelerometer and used GPS to gather your location and sends that data back to the city of Boston.
Here is where the app developers come in. They are looking for someone to help design something to collect that data and make it useful. Liberty Mutual is offering a $25,000 reward/grant to whomever accomplishes that feet. So if you are or know a developer, here is your chance to cash in. The link is listed below.
