Aqility, Inc. Releases New Version 1.1 of iPhone Application Who Do You Call? to Teach Career Vocabulary to Children
Who Do You Call? is an innovative learning game developed for the iPhone by Aqility. This unique app offers parents a new means to engage their children, expose them to various careers and help build job function associations. The new version 1.1 includes optimized graphics.
Boston, MA ? Aqility, Inc. announced the release of version 1.1 of Who Do You Call?, an iPhone app specifically designed for children ages 4+ as an interactive learning and playing tool. Created through a partnership with Yeebee, a company devoted to teaching children languages, Who Do You Call? provides young players with the opportunity to explore the functions of various careers, while learning English vocabulary along the way.
?Who Do You Call? is one of the only iPhone apps out there that allows children to both improve their vocabulary and start thinking about what they might like to be when they grow up,? says Alexander Kesler, President of Aqility, Inc., ?Kids have fun with the responsibility of helping professionals carry out their jobs, while parents enjoy seeing their kids as active decision-makers.?
The Flashcard section of Who Do You Call? allows children to study career vocabulary by viewing animated characters, while the Game section gives children the chance to use their new vocabulary skills to match tasks with the professionals that perform them.
Children may choose their vocabulary level: Easy, Medium or Hard, and will be asked to match careers within these levels to their corresponding missions during the challenge portion of the game. Children have fun aligning separate parts of the character?s image to create the correct picture. The child then calls the professional, receiving feedback from the game and an animated response from the character they created.
