AUBURN, AL ? December 18, 2010 ? hiive llc announces that their first game, Creatures & Castles, is now available for the iPhone3GS and later devices, the iPad, and the iPod touch (3rd generation and later). Creatures & Castles is a top-100 action puzzle-game where you guide your hero through a dynamic puzzle to steal treasure and escape - without stopping.

In Creatures & Castles, the player guides the hero through levels by drawing a safe path past baddies and traps. Once the hero?s path is set, the player taps the hero and awaits his fate. The most important skill in this game is timing because once started, you cannot modify the hero?s path. ?It can be a little hard to get used to the fact that you can?t redirect your hero once in motion,? says Djflippy in a customer review, ?but that?s what makes this title different; you really need to have a solid plan from the outset.? Although the player can draw path segments to get the hero through the level, it won?t get them a maximum rating.

hiive owner, Andrew Rollings is the co-author of three books on game development including the award-winning, ?Game Architecture and Design?. He and his family worked together to make a game that was both challenging for adults and fun for kids. The game includes custom artwork and music soundtrack created specifically for the game including an audio-homage to ZeldaTM after bombs are used to blast through walls.

Creatures & Castles is now available for $0.99 in the U.S. and is priced accordingly in other regions. Creatures & Castles is available worldwide from Apple?s App Store for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch, or by visiting Creatures and Castles: iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch.

Please visit Creatures and Castles: iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch for more Creatures & Castles information, including videos and screenshots of the game.
