iPhone 3GS Camera Rotate Problem

I've looked around and couldn't find any info on this issue, so if this is already in another thread I apologize.

My wife has an iPhone 3gs and every time she takes a picture with it portrait mode it saves the picture in landscape...not a huge deal, but every picture is saved sideways, which is a little annoying. I've checked to make sure that the camera on the bottom is facing the right way and I also downloaded "xSensor" to make sure that there wasn't something wrong with the hardwear...but I'm not sure how accurate that is.

Need some advice from the geniuses that roam these forums...thanks

Personally, sounds like something wrong with your firmware, what firmware is she on? To check, go to Settings, General, About, and scroll down till you see "version" and see what number it is. It sounds like what you will need to do is:
1)Try rebooting
If that doesn't work
2)Try restoring
Note: Please, please, please backup before you do this in iTunes
If that doesn't work
3)Go to an Apple store and see what they can do

I hope I helped!

Oh, and just in case:
Go to the homescreen
Double tap home button (circular one)
Swipe to right with finger (should see ipod controls)
Check to see if there is a lock on the icon to the very left, tap it if it does, and it will get you out of portrait lock
