Downloaded this a few days ago, when I start navigation, it says GPS is currently not sufficient, GPS will start automatically when reception is ok again. This happens wherever I'm at, even going down I-20 in flat west Tx.
What should I do?
Thanks, Charlie

On a previous 3Gs, I could never get GPS signal in any vehicle. When it crapped out and Apple replaced it, I didn't have a problem at all getting reception virtually anywhere. I tried Navigon, TomTom, Magellan, and CoPilot with the first 3Gs thinking it was the software. When I got the replacement, all nav software packages worked like a charm. They all work on my iPhone 4 like a charm as well. For me, I can only assume it was a bad GPS antennae.

So do I need some kind of antenna?

No, the antenna is built in. I assume my antenna on my first 3GS unit was faulty since I couldn't get a good signal unless I held the 3GS way up on the dash of any vehicle I was in. Once I got a replacement, and with my iPhone 4, I get great GPS signal nearly anywhere. I'm saying there's a chance you have a defective unit like I did.
