Moving Apps from iTouch To iPhone4

Please excuse me if this is the wrong forum, or is answered elsewhere...

I just received my iPhone 4, and was surprised to discover that when I synced it to my iTunes, it wouldn't copy the games I had bought from the iTunes Store for my about-to-be-replaced iTouch. Surely if I buy a game, it will work on all my devices won't it? (Imagine buying a CD then realizing it will only play on one CD player).

Does anyone know how to move my games (and tv episodes) to the iPhone4?

You should be able to. I have had the same
app that was purchased once one several
devices including my sister's 2nd gen iPod
Touch.

What are you doing that it isn't letting you?

Are you getting an error message?

The easiest way is to go through the buy process in iTunes from your phone. Make sure the iTunes account is the one that you originally purchased the game/app on. After you are prompted to enter your iTunes account password, you will get a popup that says something to the effect that you have already purchased the app and it will offer you a chance to download it onto your new phone.
