Is the an IM App that will run in the background and notify you of new messages or is this best done through SMS? Sorry this seems like a silly question. I'll be moving from a BlackBerry to an iPhone once all of the smoke clears from the initial release and I'm just trying to figure out what I need to match the functionality I currently have.
