I want an app that will let me download directly to iPhone and then upload to iDisk

What do you want to download/upload? MobileMe maybe?

Occasionally I want to download a pdf and then store it either on my iPhone or push it up to iDisk. Of course, I could just download later from my PC but it would be nice to get it at the moment I find it on my iPhone.

If you're jailbroken you can get the safari download manager to do this. you can use iFile to move the download into the iDisk directory.
