PBS KIDS introduces ‘Mister Rogers’ App
PBS KIDS has introduced “Mister Rogers’ Make a Journal,” an iPhone and iPod Touch application available in iTunes (iTunes Store) which we’d like to submit to your site for review.
The app features an animated version of Daniel Striped Tiger, a favorite character from the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, who invites children to make a journal to help them express their feelings.
Kids may choose from among five journal topics: “books,” “mad feelings,” “playtime,” “pretending” and “school.” They can then assemble pictures of “story-building blocks” that relate to the topic in order to tell their own journal stories.
The journals can be saved in a digital library for sharing anytime. Kids can use virtual crayons, markers, watercolors and stickers to draw a custom cover for each journal to make it easy to find later.
