Any game like the game show "Lingo"??

They have a "Lingo" game for the BlackBerry that's a lot of fun, and I'm looking for something similar on the iPhone.

Anyone know of anything?

For those who don't know anything about the game show or the game, here's an example:

You're shown that it's a 5 letter word, starts with the letter "S"

S _ _ _ _

You might guess "START"

If that's the correct word, you win that round.

If that's not the correct word, you are told if any of the letters are in the correct spot.

Let's say the "T" and "A" are correct. Now you're shown:

S T A _ _

You guess "STALE"

... and so on.

Anyone know of anything?

I wish! Lingo is a great show and I would definitely buy it!

There are some other word games in the App store, but none that are Lingo.

Yeah, I know that Lingo itself is not in the App store, but I was hoping somebody would know of something similar.

Who knows, maybe a developer will see this thread and create one.

there are some great word apps like sextuple but nothing like lingo... was a former blackberry user and i miss that about it =(

Try These...

Look into these two; while they aren't "Lingo" they may be a good alternate until Lingo pops into the app store...

Chicktionary gets fantastic reviews and tons of people love it, but I didn't care for it.

Puzzled, on the other hand, looks fantastic.

Maybe by the time I finish Puzzled, someone will release a Lingo game. One can only hope.

Try WordMind (or its free "Lite" version). I've never seen Lingo, but from your description, it's a pretty good match.
