We shouldn't be surprised. I mean, Sparrow is well-liked and often talked about and it was only a matter of time before it would be acquired by a big company like Google.

I haven't used Sparrow much due to the lack of certain features (most notably push alerts). Hopefully, this means we are in for a much better user experience.

I've tried it and it's slow I prefer iOS default email app.

Never mind - I just read that the developers will be working more on Gmail projects. Time to delete Sparrow! Thank God I got it when it was 99 cents, or I'd be pissed at spending $3.

Theorectially shouldnt this mean the GMail app should get better? All Sparrow was really missing was push which the Gmail app now does pretty well at least for me anyway. I was one of the $2.99 victims though.

I just bought if for the Mac- They made this big deal about getting it on sale and now it seems like it was a scam
