Sorry I don't actually use MSN but for Google Talk and Yahoo! I use eBuddy. I am sure it will be just as good for you on MSN.

Ah the reviews seem to suggest that a latest update means it freezes alot and are all 1 star :/

I swear by IM+. I like the email alert feature so I know when my non push accounts have received emails in real time! In fact I often get the email alert for my push email accounts faster than the email shows up!

Life Hacker had a nice breakdown of the top 5 IM apps available. BTW. Meebo won but they had a very nice breakdown of them all. May help you see which one is best for you.
