Apple brand leather cases: newer vs older.

I loved the Apple brand leather cases when they first came out. They were awesome. Nice soft leather, adding grip to the phone. Why are the newer leather ones all so slippery? They seem to have a different feel across the colors as well. Anyone else notice a difference?

They seem like that but morph right back into how you like them once they've been in use for a couple of weeks. I have a black one I bought for the 7 Plus and I immediately felt what you're talking about. It is nothing like how it was at the time of purchase. Much more nicer.
