iPhone 7 explodes in transit - Isolated incident.

Yes I see an exploded phone, but take a careful look at the packaging. You can clearly see there was damage to the box that obviously transferred to the phone inside most likely causing this.

I read about this earlier. I really don't buy it. I'm leaning toward it being B.S. with a Galaxy Note 7 lover being an Apple hater and trying to cause controversy as a result. I'll admit to not even having looked at the original thread on Reddit, but that's my feeling about this.

Yes. hard to tell what the real story is at this point. If no damage to the outer / shipping box... than I am not sure what really occurred.

It's why I titled it "isolated" as only 1 unique occurrence. I don't expect more.

I'm pretty sure there have been exploding iPhones in the past. All isolated incidents. Nothing to see here.

This happens a few times with every iPhone model. It's a side effect of lithium ion batteries. They don't take abuse well.
