    Default Switched from Android

Although my wife has owned iPhones for years I just came from Android. I've gone from the old (just like me) 10 pound bag phone to flip phones then Blackberry, Android and now Apple. My last was a Samsung Galaxy S6 and I've just become very tired of being attached to a phone charger. So far I'm impressed with the battery life.

While there are things that I'll miss with Android there are also some things that I think I'm going to love. There are a couple things that seem very awkward I hope you can help with. They are the back button and closing apps. Android has always had a back button to go to the last function or to close an app. I know that you can go backwards from a back button within an app but by why can't you close it. With Android you could hold the left function button to highlight all open apps then touch the home button to close them all at once. Am I missing a simple way to close all apps on the iPhone? I know you can double click the home button to show all open apps but then you have to swipe upwards on each open app to close them. There has to be a better way but my search has not come up with one. Suggestions?

With iOS10 you can use multiple fingers on the screen to "close" up to 3 apps at a time. Not perfect but it's better than one. Android used to only be one at a time as well. After so many 3rd party ROMs added in the ability to close everything Google might have sucked that feature into the base OS. I actually don't remember now if it's in there because I haven't been playing with my Nexus 7 much in the few months. Some of the OEMs had added it in as well.

Oh, if you haven't already found it, if you were a fan of Swiftkey/Swipe/etc. for keyboards, try the GBoard app. It's from Google and I think it works better on iOS than Swiftkey does. You still get the Apple keyboard for passwords though.
