Older Bose QC headphones

I have a pair of Bose Quite Comfort 2 headphones. Will they work with the headphone to lightening connector adapter and my iPhone 7? I really don't want to buy a new set of headphones.

I have Bose sound sports and Bose noise cancelling earbuds, both wired. The microphones on both do not work so I can not use them to speak while on a phone call. Also the volume adjustor on both headsets don't work with th adapter so I have to use the buttons on the iPhone to adjust the volume on the headset up or down.
