Yes. This is why Apple's case is far superior than 3rd party options. They're optimized for the software that is running on the phone, thus it being the "smart" battery case. I had a very good experience using it with a 6S.

Does anyone know why Apple don't make battery cases that support the plus models?

I think the idea is the the plus models already come with a bigger battery so battery life isn't such an issue. My wife just went to the plus, before she was always running out of battery, now with the plus she gets through the day.

I got mine yesterday. I'm pleasantly surprised truthfully never thought I'd like it just that it would be useful in time of need. However I'm actually going to be using it fairly frequently.

Mine arrives tomorrow. Just the day after I ordered, I noticed that these are now 10 days out in shipping. I guess I got my order in just in time.

I love the smart battery case. Thought the hump was kind of weird when I first saw it, but it makes it so much easier and more comfortable to hold. I use it a lot and would recommend it over 3rd party ones. I had the Mophie for my 6 and it was too bulky.
