Welcome to iMore! It's always possible that the iPhone 7 will support wireless charging but we won't know anything for sure until a formal announcement is made. By the looks of it that will take place in the fall.

Doubtful... there are 3rd party case solutions that might fill the bill...

That would be cool.... I hate trying to find the connector in the dark at night when my wife is already asleep. While the watch I can just lay on the stand and it starts to charge.

Conductive charging feels like an S feature, but as it stands, the iPhone 7S could be pretty crazy.

There's a magnetic charger for the iPhone that goes in the lightning port and when it's near the charging wire, it'll just magnetically hook onto it.

wireless charger wont be any important improvement , why should Apple follow Samsung's Steps ?
Not an important improvement or not an improvement? Is removing the 3.5mm headphone jack an important improvement? Removing the antenna lines?

Wouldn't it be an important improvement if there is no headphone jack? How do you use your headphones if your phone needs charging at the same time?

Well, we won't know that until Wednesday. I have other lightning dongles and there's a slot for a charging cable. I'm hoping Apple does the same thing here.

I'm interested in seeing Apples solution for this. I think they have thought it thru and will do it the right way. I personally don't care because I use Bluetooth headphones but for those that do care I'm interested.

I'm really, really hoping they're doing this for a good reason. I'm perfectly fine with sacrificing the headphone jack as long as whatever they're using that real estate for is worth it for me.

I understand why people want it, I just don't care personally because I use Bluetooth.
